Photographer's Note
It was such a pleasant experience to be up and out so early in the morning. The most amazing things are out there to be seen. The fog, deer still grazing, ducks still asleep.. :))) It was so quiet and peaceful. I really should try that again sometime... LOL

Hi Shelly
thats funny, i always get up super early for my photo shoots :)
you're totally right, there are so many advantages to being the early bird.
I bet you that misty fog wasn't there at 11am or 3pm! but its there before most people get up.
Hope you make it a habit, it'll be worth it.
nice work
cheers

Hello Shelly,
As we all know the early birds get the worms. Not that I want any of that slimy stuff :) The morning light is always interesting to shoot, and many times it can be very surprising depending on the weather condition. Such as fog and mist, and sometimes clear air with some misty condition rather than the haze in the later hours. Excellent quality shot here. You've captured the atmosphere so beautifully.

I used to live near a lake, Shelly, and your lovely photograph brought back great memories of that early morning mist rising from it, with the mountains in the background...
Nice shot, so moody and dreamy. You're right ~ you should get up early more often, I'm enjoying the results! ;)

Hello Shelly,
This is a very picturesque view, where the haze in the background looks like an impressionist painting. The tree and the bench and chairs bring us back to reality, but a very peaceful and tranquil reality. It's a well balanced compositon and very well exposed. I only have one tiny, very tiny, complaint. It's that I would have prefered the little dark spot on the left side, just above the ground, to be removed.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Shelly ,
A simple but so beautiful composition , where the at first glance "empty" part takke an important role . As Gert , I could make the little remark about the little spot on the left .

Hello Shelly,
A very classical composition, where the light and mist of the early hour make a difference.
Funny thing is that I live out of the city, in an area with some lagoons and water courses, but never give me the chance of being at the right hour with the camera (either to early when I go to my work or -shamefully- late on weekends). Now I have a motivation! :-)!
Kind regards,
Carlos

Dear Shelly,
it is an event a day to meet you after one century. And you come back with the best signature of your Nikon. I like very much this aquarel, or pastel, or poem. Chin, chin, for your presence here!

Hello Shelly,
It's really a great ability to show what is almost non-existent. Fog in the photo is a difficult subject, but as you can see in this picture, You handled yourself very well with this problem. Lonely tree emerging from the dense fog made use of a unique theme.
This is a great photograph, full of mysterious mood.

Hello Shelly,
I admire your minimalist interpretation of the scene,it works very well for me with the tree and table in one small corner nicely balancing the expanse of mist covered water.
Beautifully understated,it`s a lovely piece of imaginative photography.
Kind regards Les.

Hello Shelly,
I love the dream-like atmostphere to this simple and very well taken picture. The tree to one side lets the eye go beyond to the misty bank in the distance. A wonderful early morning shot that you must be so pleased to have taken.
Excellent.

Hello Shelly
Oh yes we definitely should overcome our inner piggy (does one say this in english? It is a more or less direct traduction from our german saying: "den inneren Schweinehund überwinden") far more often. The result of this wonderful early morning shot is sublime. There is such a calm and tranquil mood here, greatly enhanced by the lovely fog and the lonely tree.
have a great day

Its a beautiful place and so much similar to some places close to where I live, which is how it caught my attention.
Some shots like these require more of composition skills more than anything and you've done an excellent job on that.
Cheers, Blue
