Packing supplies in small float planes involves careful weight distribution. These little planes are the work horses of backcountry Alaska, and they carry passengers and freight in good weather and bad. This little plane is waiting patiently at the dock in downtown Ketchikan, much like animals of burden the world over. Scanned image from old print.
