Photographer's Note
In California's Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains, Fall Colors arrive earliest at higher elevations. This view is near South Lake the origin of South Bishop Creek. Not much fall color elsewhere below 3,000 meters.
With the heavy cold front the next day, the lower elevations will have more color next week. Especially attractive are the roads near Highway 395.
Therefore...the Eastern Sierra Nevada's autumn colors should be spectacular starting mid October and the valleys fine into the end of October.
Travel & Enjoy,
Ray

Hi Ray, Fine photo of the fall colors in the Sierras. Wonderful sense of direction with the varying lines of bright colors. Wonderful mood of Autumn on display. Are the nights real cold up there yet?
The gallery of photos you have of Fall are lovely to see.

Oh what amazing colours, it seems that you are deep in the middle of Autumn over there. I like the horizontal lines of texture and colour, really well-composed and very attractive. Nice job.
Have a great day
