Hello Ray,

I love airplanes but sometimes they do wrong.

I love their pilots because they always do their best. Jimmy Leeward was no exception.

This is an effective tribut to the unfortunate accident at the Reno Air Races, not withstanding the fact that this is a wonderful shot from the Nevada Air Show. The person who has been specializing in aerial shots at such shows is Eleu Tabares. Take a look at his latest post,eldancer1.

Wow! I think you have the last photo of this P-51 in one piece. I was thinking about going to Reno for the air show (I used to live in Reno) but changed my mind. I'm glad you're okay and it was such a tragic accident. There was a minor accident in Bullhead City last April. Hi, Ray,
It looks like a Mustang P-51 but I am not sure. Oh, yes, I really remember that terrible tragedy on the air show. One detail, I see the Allianz sign, but this is an advertising only.
Good presentation of the flying old timer, fine details, excellent view of the Nevada hills on the background.
