Photographer's Note

At the corner of East 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue there are many interesting skyscrapers, including my personal favorite: the Chrysler Building. I was trying for about an hour to capture the Chrysler Building in a parked or stopped car window, but had no luck. What I did manage to capture, were some of the other architectural gems that sit on the same corner.

The building dominating most of this back window is the Mobil Building, a stainless steel office building with 45 floors, that was completed in 1955. On the left side of the window you can see the Chanin Building, an art deco masterpiece completed in 1929. It has 56 floors, and an exterior made of brick and terra cotta.

I was happy to have this yellow taxi to include in the composition. :-)
