Photographer's Note
Located on Cape Ann, the Gloucester Fisherman memorial has looked out on the Gloucester Bay since 1923. "They
that down to the sea in ships" is inscribed on its base.
I first shot this icon 25 years ago and again with this image from my visit this past summer 2010. I was fortuate to capture this statue on what was a picture perfect day.
I shot over 40 images on both Canon 5D cameras with the telephoto and wide angle.
Very little RAW/PS processing just to sharpen the final image.

Larry,
This is a fine shot of this iconic statue. The low POV works well giving us an upward view of the statue placing it against the nice blue sky. The trees in the background add a nice line of color through the shot. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness.
