Original Picture

This is a picture of Mount St Helens in Washington state, taken while on the aeroplane coming home. This shot was actually taken by my girlfriend, as she had the window seat at the time :)

The reason the mountain is so shaped is because its an active volcano and in 1983 it blew its peak off in a violent eruption, earlier this year it was about to erupt again, but calmed down in the end.

I thought I would share it, I like all the differnet shades of blue and feel the plane wing makes it something special.

I was playing with cropping out some of the sky to leave the mount in the top third of the pic, but in the end decided to leave it. But I did do some other cropping an cleaned it up abit with neat image

workshops and critisms welcome!
