Photographer's Note

Captured in this shot is part of the Weowna Park trail system. It is located in the city of Bellevue, near Lake Sammamish and the Lake Hills neighborhood. It is nice that such a trail system exists within the city. It is close to home, and provides for nice walking, running, and biking.

The City of Bellevue webiste describes the park as a "spectacular 80-acre open space park offers miles of peaceful hiking trails through towering remnants of old growth forest with views of Lake Sammamish and the Cascade Mountains. The recently engineered Phantom Creek descends through the park to Lake Sammamish, creating a series of picturesque waterfalls and pools through a deep ravine. This park completes a major link in the citys Lake-to-Lake Trail system."

In this photo you can see much common plant life of the Pacific Northwest, including ground cover such as Sword Ferns and Salal, and trees such as Douglas Firs and Cedar
