Na Pali Coast, a photo from Hawaii, West

Photographer's Note

This is a picture of the Kauai's Na Pali Coast taken from the legendary Kalalau Trail. This trail is the only land route into the Kalalau Valley and is 22 miles round trip. The valley is somewhere beyond the most distant mountain in the image.

I had my 10 year old with me, so I only made about a mile in on this day.

This is an absolutely incredible photo. It would be nice with the tree at the right cropped or left as is, since it makes a nice frame for the background ocean and mountains. The colors are rich too. -Lara

Hi Scott,
I see you visit many of my favorite places. I particularly like the framing here; the windswept bluff and the two trees make the perfect frame of the Napili caost. Wishing you health, love & joy, Pat
