G'Day Steve,
This is a wonderfully tranquil work of art. I would have used a longer exposure length, but my inexperience may have led to overexposure. The motion in the scene is very pleasant, as is the soft lighting effects and calm sky. The lumps of flotsam and jetsam provide a few interesting features. A great piece. Have a good day.

And why I do not have this kind of landscape around to me?
But with, I would not know how to make this kind of photo...
I like all this hazy, almost vague water, and the depth o we amne your photo.
Of the big Art!

Steve,
quite interesting to read your note "standing in the cold water wasn't that bad". Was that your impression while you were there taking the shot or your conclusion once you were back home and looking the result on your screen?
Happy New Year!

Astonishing viewpoint. There seems to be a visual division where the mt ranges meet that renders the left side of the photo primeval, unearthly, surreal vs. the blue skies of the 'fairer' right side. Congratulations!

Great dof. Seems you have several repeating elements in this photo that all add up very nicely.
