Photographer's Note

This is another photo that was taken for the introduction to photography class that I took, there are only about three more after this one. This is the second of three shots that were for an action shot assignment.

This panning shot was taken in the plaza in the center of the city of Orange. The plaza is very charming and has retained a 1950s look to it. It has served as a location for several movies, the main one being that thing you do with Tom Hanks.

I guess that I am a bit of a perfectionist, but this shot bothered me because the pan isnt perfect. In an introductory class like the one that I took, the instructor is pretty lenient.

Through a critique I received on the first shot from this assignment, blurred action, some new ideas have been revealed to me. I wish that I would have taken this shot as blurred action and the blurred action shot as a panning shot. Maybe I will give it another try.
