Photographer's Note
I cant believe that this little guy let me get 2 feet from him. He never flew away... just stood his ground.
I just sharpened it a little.

The head is nicely sharp but the highlights are a little burnt out. What I think are railings and a wall in the background are thrown out of focus well but the very light colour is still something of a distraction.
A viewpoint slightly further to the right would have provided a dark background to the tip of the beak.

I like the head very much Richard.
I am agree with Keith, that the background can be much better. But the still head is great. I like it.

Richard it is a fantastic shot and what a lot of luck to get so close to him. Amazing details and very good use of dof to put him in focus. You simply couldn’t do a better job.

What an amazing portait. You were very fortunate to have such a model. I love the feather details and the reflection on the eye. An it looks so pristine and clean. This is really very special.
