Photographer's Note
Don't know where this cat was off to but he/she was on his/her way. I was taking pictures at Railtown in jamestow, California when the cat pass by paying no attention to me. If I would have seen him/her coming I would have tried to get more of a front shot. He/she was to fast for me.
Hope you injoy the traveling cat.

Excellent photo! Perfect exposure, sharpness, contrast. A rare moment. Could almost be an inpirational poster, with a caption at the bottom: Life's a Journey, or some other cute motto. :-) Thanks for sharing!

Nicely done. You've captured a unique moment.
I likve right in front of tracks and have never witnessed anything like this.
It's beautifully contrasted with nice light.
I could nit-pic on composition but I understand that you couldn't help this.
Great photo!

Hi Dan,
Great funny catch! I was wondering whether it would activate the barriers at road crossings :-) Nice rendering of the fur, keeps the motion sensation. TFS

Hi Dan,
I like this! Puss seems very intent on where he/she is going. Great composition and the sharpness and details are good. Reminds me of my cat Gypsy, same colour and long fur. Well seen and captured and TFS Cheers Tina :-)

Hi Dan,
I am very fond of cats, and you have done a nice job with this one. The surroundings are sharp and are interesting in their details. I like the diagonal lines of the tracks. I also like how the colors all seem to harmonize together so well. Brown and black can be so boring, but definitely not in your photo. You have captured this spur-of-the-moment very well!
Regards, Jackie
P.S. Also a nice job with the frame.

Hi Dan,
Great shot of this man about town riding the rails. Late in the day this surface may be too hot and he will have to expose his feet to those cruel stones.
Regards, Tom
