Photographer's Note

"Father Junipero Serra was small of stature (5' 2") and never robust, but an iron constitution and walked thousands of miles in pursuit of his noble calling of creating missions.
On his first arrival to New Spain in 1749, he walked from Vera Cruz to Mexico City. And would walk thousands of miles in California, planning, designing and constructing mission churches for the Native Americans and European immigrants.
This image is the opposite side of the church's garden posting. Here is the cemetery, and the wall's buttresses to help strengthen against earthquakes.

Hello Ray,

We see in foreground the sad cemetery all with wood crosses.
But the old church make your picture nice.
Depth and perspective are wonderful.
Composition and presentation are very well.
Pleasant to look at.
