World Cup, a photo from Arizona, West

Photographer's Note

Hidden within the "Teepees" to the west of the Cottonwood Cove entrance to Coyote Buttes (South) is an isolated 8 feet/2.4 m tall feature that's been named "World Cup". Of course, if you're an American, it's obviously the Lombardi Trophy for the American football champions.

I don't know much (anything, tbh) about American football so I had to look up the cup to spot the likeness. Even without that, it's a great nature picture. Well spotted, well composed, well taken.

Hi Mark,

A fabulous photo of a remarkable landscape. The deep blue sky works well with the red shades of the rocks. There seem to be other equally bizarre rock pillars around here. Great sharpness, colour and composition.
