Photographer's Note
This was our second visit to Smoky Mountains (Gatlinburg) during Christmas. It was a sunny day, after some heavy snowfall. There are many streams and falls during this time of the year. This picture was taken while trekking towards Ramsey Cascades, the tallest waterfall in Smokies. This is a 8 miles strenuous trek and the narrow path becomes extremely slippery after snowfall. The bright sunshine, snow, fast flowing stream and colorful rocks make a great combination.
