Just waiting for this virus to leave the planet. I am getting a little fat, crazy, and more fat waiting on the pandemic to end. I feel like these frozen leaves in my pond from many years ago. Stay safe and stay healthy my friends.

I love your note! And, yes, I agree, we are all getting very fed up and going crazy waiting for the pandemic to end. But, realistically, I think we shall all have to wait some time yet. In the meantime, what better than like you, to look through some photos in our archives - like this one of yours from 12 years ago!

And it's a super shot too! Fallen autumn leaves, preserved for a short time under the frozen surface of your pond. A fine "tight" composition, lovely soft light, rich warm colours and exceptional details and sharpness.

Excellent!

What could be better? Well, yes, being able to go outside and be free again, I suppose!

Hi Jimmy,
This is an interesting composition with the ice creating layers by its fixing of the leaves' depth as well as the complementary pattern of its crystalization. I like the colorization as well as its sharpness.
Fortunately, being in an "essential" business I'm out and about during the week (and so maintain my weight) and at least one day of the weekend increase my social distancing by hiking deep into the wilderness. My postings may seem to indicate isolation but it's really just slow editing.

Jimmy, an abstract shot showing dead leaves in a pond. Some of them are rotten in the water. The ochre color is attractive. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Wow, this is beautiful. Thin layer of ice is just right for adding very special reflections, and still showing those brown leafs clearly. Diagonal patterns on the ice look so good. And all the brown tones make harmonic combination.
