Photographer's Note
Somewhat inspired by "Graphical Impressions" by Alvaraalto, this one.
I also like the tilted cross in the composition. I considered calling it "The Sign of the Southern Cross"...
---
Travelling in the south you don't see that many skyscrapers. We made a big tour, but found them in only a handful of cities. Nashville has some, New Orleans a few...most of them were in downtown Atlanta.
---
ATLANTA is the capital of Georgia. It's got the headquarters of Coca-Cola, CNN and AT&T and is the economic and financial hub of the South. Its aiport is the busiest of the States, if not the planet.
For us Atlanta was the starting (and finishing) point of our trip. The center was OK to visit, but my favourite part was Little Five Points, a (very) small alternative kind of neighborhood with a great vibe.
---
THIS PICTURE was taken in the center of Atlanta, looking up at the highrise. Note the skywalks!

Bonjour Benny,
J'ai eu le grand plaisir à quelques occasions de visiter cette ville moderne du sud.Ici, c'est la partie moderne et haute que tu nous montre avec grand talent. Très graphique comme ensemble.

Hello Benny,
There are similarities with Rob's latest photo, but he posted his this week and you took this months ago, so you shouldn't fear any accusations of copying him. Many persons can have similar inspiration from heavens above. This environment won't get any awards for cosiness, but from this angle it's at least graphically interesting. I like the bright reflection of the sun in a couple of windows towards the left side.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Benny,
Sometimes you see an opportunity for a photograph which is quite different.
In this case, I think the negative space is just as important, if not more so, than the buildings.
The blue of the sky makes a very distinctive cross, which I identified and perused before I looked at the details of the buildings.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Benny ,
A superb blue cross in the sky of high rises . Impressive low POV .
Regards
PS : i understand what you mean about the similarity between Amalfi coast and Gomera . I'd not spotted that when i was there , becausein the reality the place are quite different . Canary islands are wilder and more exotic . But looking at this view, it absolutly looks like some part of la gomear or Tenerife (Anaga).

Dag Benny,

Hi Benny
love the skywalks, why don't more buildings have these...however i'd hate to be in one if it collapses or if there's an earthquake - now that would be bad luck timing! awesome shot, love the blues and their visual impact on the scene. the buildings have a brown tinge to them but I get the feeling they're not brown. great light and UP shot
cheers

Salut Benny,
Un très bon angle de prise de vue, cela accentue l'impression de hauteur des immeubles, joli fod de ciel bleu bien saturé.

Hi Benny
This is fabulous, you managed to frame all the essential elements; angles and shapes to make an excellent piece of architecture and graphic simplicity at its best That's what colour photography is about. Well done.
Best regards

Hello Benny
This is an excellent shot of these tall buildings in Atlanta. The deep blue sky provides a nice contrast in colour and of course, the cross becomes an extra bonus. It reminds me of one of my London-shots: The walkie-talkie and its neighbours 2. Fine work:)
