Domino Park, йgalement connu sous le nom Maximo Gomez Park, est un point de repиre а Little Havana et marque le lieu de rassemblement de la vieille culture cubaine а Miami comme un endroit pour aller jouer а un jeu ou deux avec des amis. А toute heure du jour, vous pouvez trouver des rйsidents locaux retraitйs jouant aux dominos ainsi que des йchecs et des dames sous des pavillons ombragйs tout en buvant un cafй cubain et en discutant de la politique cubaine. Le parc est situй au coin de SW 8th Street, Calle Ocho et La 15иme Avenue а cфtй du Tower Theatre est ouverte de 9h а 18h tous les jours.

A really nice capture of this domino match of these elderly gentlemen. At first glance there seems to be a really large crowd of spectators in the background, although they actually only have only one fan following the game.

Amazing scene from the Little Havana. Nice view of the elderly men playing domino. But more striking is this long mural with the participants of the Summit of Americas. In Cuba such playing in the open air is very popular.

This picture could be a nice illustration by the song of James Brown: It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World, but it also can illustrate the quote that women has better things to do. Also funny to see all these portrait of local heroes at the background.

Зa ne doit pas кtre facile de savoir que leur pays est si proche et qu'ils ne peuvent pas y retourner. Les changements attendus ne se produisent que lentement.

Je me souviens de cette ambiance particuliиre de Little Havana, et ta photo l'illustre parfaitement.
Ces joueurs de dominos prennent leur jeu trиs au sйrieux. Les gens autour sont venus se dйtendre, et la peinture murale montre bien l'attachement de ces gens а la politique de leur pays d'origine, celle qui les a fait fuir !
Sociйtй plutфt macho quand mкme ! Une seule femme dans tous ces portraits !

C'йtait trиs йmouvant Hommage a Johnny а Bruxelles, que de concert je suis aller voir de lui en France / Belgique, un jour ( gagner a un concours) j'ai eu le droit d'aller dans ces coulisses il йtait a cфtй de moi, je ne savait plus parler :-) je suis trиs triste......
