Photographer's Note

What can you expect to see on a corner in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan? Cars stopped at red lights, various food trucks, and, sometimes, colorful murals. At the corner of First Avenue and East 11th street I found all three.

Ive walked by this corner many times, and every time that orange food truck has been there, so it had to be included in the view. :-) The mural of Michael Jackson has also been there for a while, and its the work of Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra. He has many murals here in NYC, and three in the East Village. Directly across the street, on the west side of First Avenue, is his mural of former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

I'm sorry I havent been posting many new photos recently. My photo walks in Manhattan have slowed down a bit. I hope to get back out there soon, and in the mean time Ill keep viewing all your lovely photos. Take care everyone!
