Photographer's Note
In this view you can see “XO WORLD” (although I’m actually showing the sculpture from the back side). It features a large “jack” from the children’s game of jacks as the “X”, and a large globe as the “O”. The “X” also represents love in universal sign language. You can see that it’s made up of crossed arms. Of course “X” and “O” also represent hugs and kisses. :-)
I don’t know if children play jacks anymore. I know my mother played as a child, and she showed me how to play on the kitchen floor when I was young, but I haven’t seen any children playing jacks in a long time. Did any of you play as youngsters?
Regarding this sculpture, it was fun to circle the large globe, and see my reflection in different parts of the world.
XO World Project plans to install these sculptures in Paris next year, and then in London, Hong Kong, Moscow, and Dubai.
In the WS are two more photos.

Hello Brenda,
An interesting sculpture with a message in the WS. Children indeed enjoy playing together regardless of race, origin, religion, place on the social ladder.
The sculpture in your other photos stands out for its colour and reflections of the light and surroundings.
Beautiful, clear and sharp presentations with a city view in the background.
I must confess that I'm not familiar with the game of jacks.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Brenda,
It doesn't matter that this is seen from the "wrong" side. An 'OX' statue would have been a fine tribute to a strong and sturdy animal that has helped humans for thousands of years. It's a very catchy composition in any case, and it would hardly have been made by you without the inclusion of a few persons on the side. I like both WS too. The sculpture is nice, but I never heard of that game before. It might have a different name in Swedish of course, but I don't recognize it at all. Maybe it has been incorporated into our modern culture in recent years, like Saint Valentine's Day or Halloween. ;-) In the other WS I like the reflections on the globe. It looks like the entire Amazon region is crowded with people.
Kind regards,
Gert

Wonderful modern sculpture with a message to the world, Brenda.
The Indian ocean and Australia shown with reflection of the opposite buildings, a stunning blue colors of the ball.
Good choice to include the young ladies and guy sit at its foot.
Have a nice new day,
Ike

Ciao Brenda,I find it hard to recognize this type of game, despite your useful ws, perhaps it has never landed in Italy. A delightful post, dedicated to love and to a multiracial society that still presents some criticisms, the artistic work is very modern and truly remarkable and your beautiful photos are the best way to find out. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Brenda,
Quite impressive sculpture with all that shine! That X made of fists is something I haven't seen before. And the globe is at an angle we are not used to see it. Interesting project. The WS confirms that this game is something I didn't know about.

Hello Brenda, I had to see a short Youtube movie is I know this play. But I do not, I haven't heard of it, it was not known in Poland. we know the cross and the circle, but it is something different. But I know the signs xo or xoxo for hugs and kisses in short messages. Interesting sculpture. Here we see the backside, it is of non-importance and we see here also this small group of kids.
Best regards Malgo

Hello Brenda,
This is an excellent photo of these two sculpture. I particularly like the blue globe, which has a great mix of the map of the world and the reflections of the surroundings. The people in the foreground are a good bonus as well.

Hi Brenda
Looks like 'OX' to me. BUt XO certainly describes the large size! Here you can see the large size of Australia too, and how Perth on the west coast, which is 3 hours behind the east coast, is still in sunlight, whilst it is night EST where I live. Many foreigners don't realize just how big Australia is. At around 3 million square miles, it's almost as big as the contiguous USA. Many tourists have had to modify their travel plans on arrival once the vast distances and travel cost become apparent. Tfs!

Hello Brenda,
You have shown us some exquisite photographs from New York, any one of which could have been posted as a main photograph. The message of love and kisses is delightful, especially as the message will be moving to other important cities.
You know, I love reflections and what can be seen in the globe, from different angles is so interesting.
I like the children playing 'jacks'. I thought at first you meant 'noughts and crosses' but obviously not. The children all had different ethnicity so important in modern times.
Thank you for sharing this,
Bev :-)

Hello Brenda, three interesting shots of 'OX World'.
From this point of view where you have included the three people in the foreground, we get a very good impression of the size of the pieces.
The highly polished surfaces especially of the sphere provide some interesting reflections of the surroundings.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Brenda,
I first thought that something is wrong with the continents but then I realised it is tilted. So we can see probably your reflection in Western Australia.
Nice series of photos.
I like the modern art installation as long as they are shine and provide opportunities for reflections like the bean in Chicago being my favourite.
People add a nice touch here, very well captured,
M

Hello Brenda
You show a 'percussive' set of good vibrations and I consider all these fists as being a symbol of united dynamism and incentive measure to valiancy located in the vicinity of the sad events.
You're an accomplished 'visitors guide' revealing so many hidden treasures of the Big Apple :)
Thanks for your exercised photographic skill.
Cheers

What strikes me most about this photo is that the everyday life is connected with such strong symbols. It reminds me somehow that no matter what happens, life goes on, nevertheless and I like such combination. Thanks.
