Photographer's Note
This is my final post from the Irish Hunger Memorial. I had made my way up the sloped path to the lookout, and then turned around and followed the path back to the one entry/exit.
The exit passage is built into the abandoned cottage, and the view looks directly out towards the Hudson River, which sits in front of the memorial. The lit portions of the walls have statistics and quotes written on them, and there is a haunting voice reading some of them out loud as you enter and exit.
In the WS are two more views.

Hello Brenda,
A very nice view down the dark tunnel and those long lines of light stand out nicely from the darkness. The surrounding, sunlit stones add a good frame as well. Good work with excellent light management, also at the other end of the tunnel.

Hello Brenda,
Good sharpness and linear perspective afforded by the many horizontal lines on the wall of the tunnel. The person adds scale. Tfs!

A tunnel perspective with an excellent sense of depth, you managed to create, Brenda.
The river on the very far side and people stride by made the subject more interesting photo.
Have a nice new week,
Ike

Hello Brenda,
Those long bright lines have an amazing effect, like they're about to suck me into the tunnel. They give the photo superb depth, assisted by the very well placed silhouette of a persons and the brightly dressed persons on the other side of the tunnel. The rough stones provide a nice frame and there is a fine view across the river in the WS.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Brenda, the last pics to close the series from this original and interesting place in the heart of your city. Great perspective to show the exit passage with a lovely 3D effect. Useful WS too with the stone coming from Ireland and the view on the river very sharp and bright. Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Hello Brenda, as I have probably stated before, this is a fascinating Memorial.
An excellent point of view with the bright light at the end of the tunnel.
I like the presence of the silhouetted figure.
Interesting structure, traditional stonework contrasting with the stark lines of the interior.
Kind regards, Jean.

Dear Brenda,
Its a striking photo with the man standing on the right. Otherwise, it leads my sight to the bg. with the two figures in red and green.
Best Wishes,
Gy.
PS: If you let me crack a joke about 'The Great Dilemma of the Irishman' during times of hunger: 'So, I have this potato, should I eat it or make booze instead?'

Hello Brenda,
The narrow clear strips on the inner wall that point to the Hudson are a very attractive and interesting element of this beautiful picture. So is the almost silhouette of the woman inside the exit tunnel.
Clear and sharp view of the outside wall in the foreground and a nice colourful view of the other side of the tunnel.
In the WS we get a great view of New Jersey and the Hudson.
A very beautiful and interesting monument that I unfortunately didn't know it existed when I visited NYC.
Best regards, Paul
