Built from 1726 to 1735 in pink quarry and masonry. Its length is 1280 meters, with an average height of 28.5 metres and cnsists of 74 arches.

Aqueducts is an evidence to ancient wisdom, Pedro, as oyur ancestors knew how to employ nature on their behalf, like windmills and sundials.

It's good to see more recent aqueducts still in good repair, after the ruins of Aspendos and Ephesus in Turkey where only certain arches remain. Every arch nicely frames the bg. Tfs!

It's indeed an imposing aqueduct from yester-years of such scale enhanced by the repeat arches, colours and superb clarity. Those small areas of greens help alot to boost the overall colour.
