Photographer's Note
Not sure what category to put these salt flats into exactly, because these beautiful landscapes are natural and man made to an almost equal degree. Most photos found online likewise show merely the pink pool, which is caused by the presence of microorganisms while other colors exist due to the composition of the terrain itself. Visit to the pink pool is severely restricted these days, while others can still be roamed around on one's own.
Oh yes, and the colors are best at high noon!
