Photographer's Note
Took this photo this morning on a snow shoe trail up Mt Washington. I only had a few minutes to check out this trail but found out some wonderful snow creations and postcard settings. I wish I could have caught the snow trekker breaking into this scene. None the less I have not seen this kind of fresh pure snow for some time. I seem to have a special connection to snow settings like this. Hope you like this one too.
There is a poem by Elizabeth Browning that reads;
Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire
with God;
But only he who sees takes off
his shoes;
The rest sit round it and
pluck blackberries.

Finalement, c'est peut-être celle-ci ma préférée des trois avec cette lumière en contrejour qui allonge démesurément les ombres et la beauté de la neige.

Hello Paul.
Magnificent sharpness in this well exposed shot. I agree with you about your 'special connection' with snow settings, which could be extended to backlit shots. This is a beauty which deserves more critiques if you ask me.
Regards,
Andrew
Best wishes for the coming year.

The newly broken trail leads our eyes into this image. Excellent detail in the trees and especially the backlit icicles.
Well done.

Hello Paul -
Very nice in deed! This looks like next years Christmas Card. Excellent exposure with white snow, shadow details, as well as texture in the snow. Well done!
Thank you for sharing.

Fantastic winter shot Paul! The deep snow is great, especially when it is still plastered to the trees as in this shot. Great detail too, so that we can see the ice crystals in places. I like how you used the tracks in the snow to give this a centre of interest and draw us into the scene. Nice work!
Sorry I couldn't get together with you and Dan, between work and family events and Dan's schedule there was no time. Hope you had a great trip to the island and got some nice shots too!

Hello Paul,
I am glad to find another spectacular snow picture, and I am a bit jealous because we photographers have been expecting snow in Istanbul since many years -
Stunning crystal like light and excellent frame .
Happy New Year - Izzet

After a long time I'm visiting your picture Paul. You have marvelous collection of snow. Beautifule capture. Lately I've been quite busy with my work that I could not concentrate on my hobby. Should catch up with it again.
Glad you keep up with this.
