Photographer's Note
This is teh second photo that was shot about 5 minutes after the previous posting. I used the silo to hide the sunlight and set the exposure two full stops below the cameras setting. If you look closely there is a hillside there is a slight hint of morning light on the grass. This photo has a better quality to it.
Photography to me is not so much takign pictures as it is making photos through the understanding and application of light.
From midnight the night before I was working in a warehouse five minutes from here. I could have worked longer but I knew that sunrise was coming. After leaving work I drove down here and made it just in time. Photography is the Celebration of Light. Good Morning..its a New Day.

I often have problems taking photos direct into the sun - thats a great idea you have of using an object to block out some of the light.
I love this photo, the colours are really warm and i love the way the silo has been positioned. Well done!

Great shot Paul!
Good choice in placing the overpowering sun behind the silo. It let's you capture all the brilliance of the landscape without overblowing anything.
The colors are truly surreal, and the I like the fact that it's very sharp with no noise.
Nicely done Paul!

Hi Paul, A beautiful picture. You have wisely to use the tower to block the bright sunlight. The morning golden sun has painted the mountains with amazing colors. An outstanding photo. Well done.
