Symbole des passages de la vie pour les fidèles, la Porte Sainte de la basilique-cathédrale est ornée de bas-reliefs représentant le Christ et la Vierge Marie. Elle est la septième du genre dans le monde et la première hors de l’Europe. Son inauguration coïncidait avec le 350e anniversaire de la paroisse Notre-Dame-de-Québec, fondée en 1664.

Symbol of the passages of life for the faithful, the Holy door of the Basilica-Cathedral is decorated with reliefs depicting Christ and the Virgin Mary. It is the seventh of its kind in the world and the first outside Europe. Its inauguration coincided with the 350th anniversary of the parish of Notre-Dame-de-Québec, founded in 1664.
