Photographer's Note

The autumn season, or fall, as it's often called, begins in September. The weather cools and the leaves on many trees change colour and fall to the ground. It can also be very rainy at this time of year. In some parts of Ontario, especially northern regions, snow may begin to fall by late October. Average daytime temperatures are about 10C to 12C in most of the province. The autumn months are September, October and November. The dense hardwood forests of Maples, Oaks, and Birch are abundant and display some of the best fall colors and foliage in North America. Many would say the best colours in the world are in Ontario during the autumn season.
