Emerald Lake, a photo from British Columbia, Western

Photographer's Note

This is one of the most beautiful places I`ve ever seen: Emerald Lake, in British Columbia but very close to Alberta, near the town of Field.
I used the 10 stops filter so that I can expose for 30seconds, this is why the sky looks like that.

I was just talking about you the other day. SO good to see you posting. The long exposure in broad daylight is a great achievement and the light is managed wonderfully. I love the effect on the clouds and the water is absolutely luminous. The Lake earns its name well and truly. Congratulations, have a lovely evening.

Hi Nelu. I do like the resulting image. Quite dramatic with the dark sky and its reflections providing two bands of contrast against the beautiful emerald and pale blue of the water and the warm tones of the mnt. Very nice. Best wishes. Klaudio.

the colors look great on this beautiful landscape. The long exposure of the shot gives a surprising effect on the colors of the lake.

Hello Nelu ,
A gorgeous place , and captured with great tecnical skills, as usual . The effect of the long exposure on the clouds is special ( we can like or not like) , but on the surface of the water , it is just wonderful . The emerald color of the lake is splsndid , and I like a lot the shape of teh mountain .
