Photographer's Note
This is another isolated capture of the effects of sunlight shining on snow details. The contrast between the gentle highlights in the bank and the rugged tree on the left caught my attention. Hope you like it the same.
Enjoy!

Hi Paul,
Nice winter shot - love the grainy textures of the snow and I notice a subtle diagonal beginning at the base of the dead tree on the left. I like the shot alot. TFs. Gerald

The light is at the perfect angle to reveal the grainy surface of the snow. Nice shot!

Wow, great texture on the surface of the snow, which we usually think of as being very smooth but obviously isn't! This has a very cold feeling too, which is good because it's a cold scene. Nice work!

Hallo Paul!
That's what we miss here this winter - which actually isn't one. The play of light and shadow, technically difficult to manage, here simply is terrific. A truly great and impressive scenery!
Greetings from Germany!

Hello Paul,
This is the thirteenth post of Mt. Washington in this wonderful series; I hope it is lucky for you! My favorite from this place I would have to say is ~Pure White~, it is such an original composition. The tress clad in fresh snow look beautiful here, but my most like portion would have to be the immaculate snow in the FG. Completely untouched, the crystals of ice are captured very efficiently in this subtle lighting arrangement. Thanks for this one; I hope there is a 14th!

Belle qualité d'image! Tu as su magnifiquement exploiter la lumière rasante pour mettre en relief les petites aspérités de la neige dont le rendu est excellent.

A beautiful, almost intimate, detail of this quiet wilderness. The exquisite texture of the untouched snow and the soft blue shadows draped beneath the light create that pristine "moment" for the photographer's eye. Nicely composed.

Hi Paul
Really nice light that brings out the textures here. It is not as strong a composition as some of your other snow shots but I fine image nonetheless.
