Photographer's Note

Photo taken on the same day where this photo was taken on Mt Washington. The weather had turned cloudy with more snow coming in later on today. I was on my way down the mountain and found a spot to pull over. Slapped on my snow shoes and climbed and 3 meter high snow bank to get to this location.

This white topping caught my interest with the 10-22 wide angle helping bring the setting together. I always wanted to capture some interesting snow photos but have been unable to until I ventured up Mt Washington. With the mountain peak one mile above sea level and being perfectly located for 9 meters (30 feet) of snow annually this ski resort is the second busiest next to Mt Whistler where the 2010 Winter Olympics will be held. But I am glad that my parents live only 30 minutes from here.
If you would like to find more information on this resort you can find it here. I still find it hard to believe that the amount of snow up here is not nearly half way fallen yet. Now I have to go back and discover more snow fallen beauty. I just love it. I hope you enjoy the scenery as much as I do.
Winter Cheers!

In the workshop I posted a photo of two hikers trekking in the snow behind me. Its all about enjoying the beautiful winter outdoors!
