Morning along Yellowhead Hwy, a photo from British Columbia, Western

Photographer's Note

On an early drive through Mt Robson Provincial Park the Yellowhead Highway was draped by low clouds and mists whilst the mountains had their heads firmly in the clouds. Larch trees provided a good splash of autumn colour.

Hi Ian, How fantastic it must have been to drive there. The car is so tiny against this rocky wall. One can really feel the power of nature here. Beautiful larch trees in spruce forest, giving some nice autumn colours. magnificent shot.

Hi Ian.
This picture is vast and breathtaking, the tiny car effectively dwarfed by the layers of forest, cloud and mountain above it. I like the autumnal colours and the light penetrating the whispy clouds. Perhaps the car is just a tad close to the bottom edge of the photo, but the overall effect is quite stunning.

This is an amazing composition , with a succession of superb layers , forest , clouds , summits , and the car , so little in the curve of the raod .

Hi Ian:

Those appear to be aspens--I don't believe larches grow that far north. Regardless, it's a lovely shot. Captures perfectly the overwhelming grandeur that I love about the Canadian Rockies.
