Mount Lorette Ponds, a photo from Alberta, Prairies

Photographer's Note

This is a very accessible destination for anybody, on the left side of Highway 40, as you are heading South, not far from Nakiska.
These ponds were actually part of Kananaskis River and they got separated when Highway 40 was built. Not such a bad luck for fishermen since the ponds were deepened and populated with trout:)

Very good shot, Nelu.
I like the soft light, good reflection and point of view choosen with tree shadow coming out of the bottom right corner. Those two persons are providing some nice scale to this pictures.

Hello Nelu,
A lovely place! I love the colour of that water and the slight refelction of the mountains we can see in it. The photo is well composed the tree closing it on the right and the footpath on the left that leads our eyes towards the back. A place I'd love to visit one day.

Very beautiful landscape...
Good combination with mountain, trees and river. people walking on the footstep make this photo more impressive. Colours and sharpness are well, thanks for sharing

A very fresh and bright picture with excellent contrast and sharpness. The lines in the landscape create a good composition. And with the mountains a bit off center a very pleasant picture to look at.

Hi Nelu;

This shot caught my eye from your bio page and I had to go digging for it. I like it because of the range of colors- especially in the pond. I don't recall visiting this spot on my trip, but I'm kind of wishing I had!
Excellent details here- and the shadows were well controlled her- maintaining that detail.

Not sure if I'm a big fan of the signs of civilisation on the opposite side of the pond- but nothing you could do about that- haha.
