Photo catch at sunset at Ste-Croix de Lotbiniиre close to Quebec city.
I did not want to publish this photograph, but when I saw the one of Optic named Harvest I could not prevent me. The 2 photographs were taken exactly 1 week from interval and at the same place. What a coincidence!!!

Nice contrasts between the sunny fields and the dark sky. The composition works out fine with the hay in the corner and the land-sky ratio is good. However, it could be a bit sharper and the sky is too grainy for my taste.

Beautiful shot. I very much like the contrast between the warm light field and the dark sky. If shot a little earlier, the shadow at the bottom might be a little less intrusive.

Nice shot, I have made a workshop for you on how I would have presented this pic. The composition is superb, but just dont think you quite captured the atmosphere in this one.

Your colours and the composition are outstanding, but I agree with "strangiato" that the image needs to have a sharper focus to be really excellent.

Beautiful colors Jerome with the golden fields beneath a dramatic sky. The composition could use some work however. The silo at the far right edge distracts rather than aids the image. In an ideal world I'd probably move to the left to create a bit more space between the foreground hay bales and the yellow building in the background. If I wanted to keep the midground hay bales at the right, I'd move to the right and turn a bit more toward the yellow building which is a nice feature. Since I can't do either of those things sitting here in California, I'll do the next best thing and crop out the silo. I've done a second workshop to demonstrate my thoughts on the subject.

Having said all of this, the light alone makes this a noteworthy image and much more interesting than the Harvest photo you mention in your note. Keep up the good work Jerome. Light and shadow are all, when it comes to photography.

Great picture, could even bee a "decisive moment". I love this moment when nature provides us with such contrast, such colors. I can feel the wind of the rain to come, and shiver from both cold and delight!

En effet quelle coпncidence ! il est intйressant de comparer les 2 photos prises а des moments diffйrents, j'aime bien celle-ci avec ses lignes bien dйfinies et la belle couleur paille... je n'avais pas cette belle lumiиre lorsque j'ai rйalisй cette photographie,

Wow! j'ai jamais vu un tel ciel chez nous.. chanceux va ! la luminositй est incroyable et le ciel dramatique, ce qui fait un ensemble frappant. Le petit ajout de nettetй par les copains dans les WS est une touche finale non nйgligeable mais par forcйmment nйcessaire а mon avis... et а vous la gloire et le privilиge d'avoir йtй lа au moment et d'avoir su capter cet atmosphere magique.

Quel contraste entre le jaune et le bleu. Chacun fait encore plus ressortir l'autre. Bonne composition privilйgiant le ciel trиs variй. J'appйcie la botte de foin positionnйe а l'avant plan bien que cela semble le seul point net de la photo. Elle reste trиs agrйable malgrй tout.

I love the contrasts of this wonderful shot, the lights, the imminent storm... I also have a similar theme, here, if you would like to visit.
I like the tonal diversity in yours!
And the haystacks are marvellous, so artistic. Mine are just round ;-)
