3 colors, a photo from Quebec, Central

Back to summer, having this picture on my personnal calendar for the month of january and seeing it every day, my girl friend asked me if I had posted it so far, I said no ! So here it is.
It was the favorite from my familly members from my trip to Gaspesia, of course it is the Percй Rock view from Ile Bonaventure and the town of Perce on the left. we can also see the trees sisters hill on the upper right of the town as shown in one of my previous photo.

It's a beautiful photo, Pierre, and it makes me wonder why you have been hiding it so long ;-) Very nice use of horizontal layers - the blossoming flowers make a wonderful foreground, and the rock and the land in the back make a good interest. Lovely saturated colors, and incredible sharpness/DOF. Very nice.

un endroit qui inspire les photographes de TE, ils ont raison car c'est un coin superbe. Ta facon de nous le presenter aujourd'hui sort un peu des sentiers battus et personnellement je la trouve tres sympa, cette composition est tres belle, elle detache bien le rocher de la cote, de plus il est tres bien en lumiere, et l'avant plan fleuri et colore est du plus bel effet.
Tres bien fait, Pierre !

Ayant demeurй en Gaspйsie durant quelques annйes, j'ai vu bien des images de ce fameux rocher. Je dois avouer Pierre, que celle-ci est exeptionnelle. Le point de vue est trиs original et bien choisi. J'aime comment les fleurs en premier plan semblent apporter notre regard jusqu'au rocher. La seule chose qui me dйrange un peu sont les nuages bleus causйs peut кtre par un peu trop de saturation. Mais c'est un point mineur, car le reste de la photo est excellent et les proportions sont parfaites а mes yeux. Bravo.

An impressive capture, Pierre, well worthy a calendar. I'm amazed by the horizontal layers - especially the lilac flowers as foreground - land, see and sky. Fantastic colors. And then this spectacular island, so well shown in 'profile', together with it's relation to the mainland. It makes me want to go there. The sharpness and DOF is excellent and the composition is outstanding. Very well done!

Un mйlange de paysage Breton et Normand, ce qui prouve que Jacques Cartier n'йtait pas dйpaysй lors de son dйbarquement dans la Belle Province.
Magnifiques couleurs, on ne se lasse pas de voir ce genre de vues.

Very blue saturated photo in the bright setting, interesting. The cliff is a grand detail as the good choice of the foreground. Nice one Pierre.

This is beautiful, Pierre. The colors are so impressive. The sharpness is great, all the way out to Percй Rock. I really like the crispness of the water. That sky is excellent, too, giving the feel of a nice ceiling and focusing the feel on panning out and over the water. But I really love how well you have captured the flowers. Excellent job.

It's funny you show this rock, again. Last night I happened to catch CBC signing off and saw Percй Rock and said I have seen that on TE just like some of your views. Then they showed the same exact view of your Quartier Petit Champlain photo and again said that and then again to numerous other scenes shown while playing the anthem. It's really neat to make all these connections like that.

I would say Pierre, this has got to be the most colorful and beautiful seascape, so far that I have seen anywhere. Just juicily colorful and beautiful. My regard to your girl friend Pierre. What a wonderful scene, Pierre. This is much different point of view than is normally seen at Perce. The colourful flowers in the foreground is the icing on the cake. Great shot.

awesome shot! the texture on all surfaces is quite impressive. the flowers in the foreground are great and are framed quite nicely. but the rocks, sky, and water are all perfect. i had never seen Perce Rock from this angle, thanks for sharing this with us!

Well I am still amazed what your special Powershot can produce. A famous place to capture. I know we are past the point of saying only nice things about our shots. My ver first impression was wanting to see more clouds in the scene. Then from reflection I see that the lower grass/flora part seems to offset the top half nicely. Seems crezy to ask for a little more clouds to balance to top half. I do percieve this to be afternoon sunlight...so I am wondering what it would look like in the morning and near sunset with warm colors in this scene. The place seems to call for it. Finally if you were to crop a little off the bottom as I did from sliding it up and down...it seems to have a little better balance...Great shot Maphoto...

I envy your opportunities to make aerial photos. Although this isn't an aerial, I love the three levels of colours. Image is sharp from front to back and colours are nicely saturated. You have captured a beautiful sky here. Bravo!(I wonder if getting a lower angle, maybe even getting down on your knees in the loosetrifes wouldn't forshorten the image, bringing the Perce rock closer to shore and reducing the large area of water between shore and the rock. Of course, you wouldn't get the green in the foreground.)

Je me regale a regarder ton porfolio, quelle belle photo, le ciel est superbe meme si un peu saturй! d'ailleurs comment procedes tu, selectionnes tu le ciel eavec baguette magique et correction de la zone, moi quand j'essaye cette technique je decouvre un petit liserй qui n'est pas tres esthetique, si tu as un conseil !!!
En tout cas c'est magnifique comme vue.

bonsoir Pierre, d'une photo intйressante avec les fauteuils colorйs, je suis passй sur celle-ci qui est magnifique. Le travail de prйparation est parfait et je suis йpatй par la mise au point. Les dйtails, surtout en premier pan, sont trиs prйcis. peut-кtre que le bleu du ciel est un peu bleu sur les nuages. Mais c'est tout de mкme trиs rafraichissant comme photo. Bravo, c'est agrйable а admirer.

Belle photo de ce rocher pris de l'ile de bonaventure, l' ile aux fous de bassn,bonne idйe de la prendre de la, je n' y ais meme pas pensй lorsque je m' y suis rendu. Je trouve que les gens comme nous peuvent prendre des photos du meme endroit sans problиmes, ils y a tant de faзon et d' endroits d' ou prendre la photo que les possibilitйs de faire presque la meme sont infinie.belle prise, bel ensemble.
