Photographer's Note
One table, four players, a hundred and forty four tiles, and numerous possibilities had provided endless hours of joy and pain throughout years and years in history. Once banned by the Chinese Communist Party, it continues to play an important part in the Chinese culture.

that real sense of urgency of movement as the tiles are moved around getting ready for the next game is caught by the blur of the hands and the note was useful - i hadn't realised that the game was once banned by the CP

Very original photo, interesting topic, well captured. Maybe there's a bit too much movement in the hands (they are just blurs, barely recognisable as hands) but still I love it. Well done.

Hello Wilbur,
Very nice and interesting photo. The long exposure gives really the idea of movement of the hands and gives really life.

This is a great shot Wilbur;
Many shots we see here in TrekEarth are 'snapshots' and the points are of no reflection to the actual quality and photographic merrit. This is NOT one of those shots.
Very good choice of exposure as you've captured the movement beautifully- in great contrast to the stationary tiles.
A very common past-time here in Singapore!
Well done!

Hi Wilbur! Great picture! I like the movement created by the hands that surround the game. It has lot of action. Also the green pieces and the only one white piece a little off-center give a nice compo. The note is very interesting.
Congrats!

Great "motion photo" Wilbur. Composition and color is good. The framing really compliments the photo well also.
Nice work

Lovely blur on hands & tiles, and
colour-mixing caused by this.
Very creative, Wilbur!
