View from frozen shore of Lake Ontario from Saddington Park. In the background on the left skyline of Toronto, in the middle – ship Ridgetown. Ridgetown, Lake Bulk Freighter built in 1905, at a cost of $475,000, by the Chicago Shipbuilding Co.
On June 21, 1974 the Ridgetown was loaded with stone and sunk as a breakwater at the entrance to Port Credit Harbour (on the north shore of Lake Ontario just west of Toronto) with her cabins and stack still in place.

Bonjour Ziggy,
je resterai longtemps fascinй par la beautй des hivers canadiens, sans doutes trиs durs pour nous а vivre car les froids y sont intenses.
Un mйlange de bleus et de blancs dans une exposition rйglйe de main de maitre.
J'aime beaucoup la prйcision du piquй qui montre les dйtails les plus intimes du givre.

cześć Zigi, ładny zimowy widoczek, zwłaszcza ten pokryty szadzią krzaczek mi sie podoba. Ciekawy widok na jezioro i Toronto w oddali. Czy Mississauga to jest część Toronto, czy jakies miasto w poblizu? Ciekawa notka. Pozdrawiam

If you hadn't have said anything I would of thought it was an active freighter passing by. Nicely done shooting through the branches. I especially like the ice covered shrub in the middle.

Hello Ziggy,
One notices initially this superb side light. I like the gray and blue tonalities of the image. The inclusion of the tree in the foreground, is better effect. Cheer.

Ziggy, what a great one you have here, I love the traditional great lakes freighter, even if she is permanently bearthed. The frozen nature of the land shows the extremes these hardy souls have to put up with. Great capture.
