Photographer's Note
Located on a bluff overlooking Lake Huron, the Goderich lighthouse was erected in 1847. As a result of the apparent inadequacy of the lights during the Great Lakes Storm of 1913 (known as the Big Blow), the stone tower was heightened five feet in 1914. It is fully electrical today and produces two white flashes every 25 seconds.
