Photographer's Note
This is the Hopewell Rocks Tidal Exploration Site in the bay of fundy in New-Brunswick
Tides are amongs the highest in the world and range from 32' to 46'. (10 to 14 meters)
It is the gravitational pull of the moon and the unique shape of the Bay that combine to create tides that high. You'll be truly amazed at how fast that water rises!
At low tide, you can explore the natural rock flowerpots, tunnels and caverns sculpted from geological formations millions of years older than the Canadian Rockies.
As the tide turns and starts to flow once more, it can rise between 6 and 8 vertical feet per hour!
The Bay of Fundy is extraordinary not only for the power of her tides and the spectacular beauty of her coastline, but for the diverse eco-systems within and around her shores.
Thank you for your comment on the photo.

Great rock formations, Michel. Reminds me of the "Flowerpot" islands off of the Bruce Peninsula of Southern Ontario....but your huge tides make it even more interesting. Thanks

Dear Michel ... this is an interesting catch, showing very well the beauty of this area. I have seen this from the Nova Scotia side and I could never get enough watching. One day the Bay was full with water, the other morning it was red and empty as on this photo. As you say, it is a very spectacular and beautiful coast line, worth to go there. Thanks for showing. Barbara.

Interesting note to match an interesting shot.
Has the colour been enhanced?Or is it so bright because of the sunlight?
What type of rock is it please?
Good POV, TFS, regards Jean

Hi Michel!
This is nicely shown. Colours/highlights and shawdows are good, I also like the composition - the stones form a nice diagonal line. In PP I'd work more on the sky to make it less bright and to bring up some details frm it.
