Photographer's Note
At age 21, June 1335 CE, Ibn Battuta, born in Tangier, Morocco, set out to see the world. His lifetime of travels took him to China, India, Persia, Egypt, and Andalusia. The Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai boasts of being the world's largest themed mall, depicting sights from these travels. Here in the entrance to the mall is a replica of a seaworthy Chinese junk, fittingly centred within the China court.

Hi Ken
This is so sharp and the colors are so rich and vivid, there is a true sense of ostentatiousness to this, but in a beautiful way. I imagine this would be how the pharaoh's themselves would decorate. The boat is beautiful and a work of art in its own right. I am astounded to learn of this place and I really, really want to see it someday. Thanks for this great series
Best wishes
Noel
