Photographer's Note

Tur Abdin is a hilly region of south east Turkey incorporating the eastern half of Mardin Province, and Sirnak Province west of the Tigris, on the border with Syria. The name 'Tur Abdin' is from the Syriac, meaning 'mountain of the servants (of God)'.

I was walking through the narrow streets of the old town in Midyat, admiring the windows and doors, the beautiful stonework and the churches when I just turned my head and saw this lady. I just pressed the shutter.
