Tersane Bay, a photo from Antalya, Mediterranean

Photographer's Note

A delightful swimming spot in southern Turkey at Tersane Bay which I think is on the western end of Kekova Island. And yes, I put the camera away, put a towel over the camera bag, and went swimming. The bay goes a fair way to the right so there was room for everyone. The tour boat had ladders to get on and off the boat. The 3 day gulet / blue cruise cruise I took in July revisited the same area, but I didn't mind at all. Kalekoy is the main tourist town in this area. Lots of turtles and dolphins to be seen.

Chris, this turquoise water in this calm creek attracts the tourists. A garrigue vegetation grows on this rocky coast. The man practices snorkeling, the seawater is indeed clean and transparent to observe the marine life underwater. Superb colors, perfect sharpness, regards.

Hello Chris,
Even as early as mid-May the water seems to have been warm enough to be enjoyable. And in any case this could have been a good place just to enjoy the colours of the water and the shapes of the rocks. Everything looks good in this fantastic light, and as for the photo it certainly benefits from the inclusion of that couple.

Hello Chris,

It's pleasing to read that there are plenty of dolphins and turtles; in many areas there are sad reports of the decline in local species.
The colour and clarity of the sea, here, is so inviting. It is no surprise that these people were snorkelling or that you were tempted into the water.
You have created a fine diagonal composition and sharp details of the features.

Amazing colours, if not for the distant shoreline it would not be possible to tell where the sky ends and the water starts! I like the juxtaposition between holiday mood and the rough rocks in the middle distance.

A great view of the rocky and green coastline. The several shades of blue in the crystal clear water as well as the sky are wonderful. The two people enjoying the beautiful day are also well included.
