Hello Burak,
the entrance of the prison to be closed has a semiotic meaning for the view.The melted snows on the both side of the corridor make the scenery more 'icy'.

Hello Burak,
This is a good but unpleasant photo, knowing what it shows. The snow and wet ground between the dull walls underscores the uncomfortable feelings that are evoked. Strangely enough the lines of the surrounding buildings and the well matching colours nevertheless make this quite an attractive composition.

The snow contributes to the solemn mood, with the gallows making a rather macabre focal point. One wonders how many people passed this way never to return.

I like the framing with emphasis is given to the elevated 'cage' with some good details to complement with putting this into perspective. A decant record shot of real situation pleasantly recorded. Well done, Congrats.

I visited the Sinop prison which closed in the 1930's. The last public execution in Australia was in 1967 for a guy who shot a policeman dead. Always good to see how we have changed in some ways for the better from the past. I am of 2 minds about the death penalty. Where there is solid proof that the person of sound mind who committed a crime did it in cold blood in a multiple attack like Oklahoma city, (Timothy McVeigh) I am all for it, but against it, if the evidence is flimsy. There have been executions of innocent people.

It is good to read that Turkey is one of the civilized countries that can do without the death penalty.
