Konya, capitale de l'ancien empire Seldjoukide. Elle possиde une ancienne abbaye de l'ordre des Derviches Tourneurs construite par Mevlana et transformйe en musйe. Ici aussi sont dйposйs les tombes des fondateurs de cette secte. La faзade prйsentйe ici, est une gigantesque photo en trompe l'oeil, camouflante le mur en train de restauration.

L'ordre Mevlevi est un ordre musulman soufi fondй а Konya au XIIIe siиcle par Jalal al-Din Rumi, dont les membres sont souvent appelйs « derviches tourneurs » en rйfйrence а leur danse appelйe samв' (ou sema), dont les mouvements rappellent ceux d’une toupie.

Witaj, też byłam w Konyi kilkanaście lat temu, ale takiego prawdziwago tańczącego derwisza w białej szacie i kapeluszu nie widziałam. bardzo ciekawe miasto, bardzo turecki, bo wybrzeże to jakby greckie antyczne. fajne kobiety, w chustkach oczywiście. ta w środku wygląda całkiem nowocześnie. dobre kolory. Pozdrawiam

I love this photo for all the movement happening at once.The slower progression of the ladies,almost sedate in their manner, intense in a discussion perhaps about the Semazen who is whirling rapidly in his sacred ceremony to unheard music.The contrast between the women in the colors of the everyday world and the dancer enveloped in a fiery crimson cloud.Two worlds
drifting right past each other.
