Photographer's Note
Today I was posting
a poem
that wasn’t my own.
About a bicycle,
goats
and two silver horns.
I sat at the table
and started to type.
I realized: I’m wrong!
This poem has some bite!
So
I tasted and chewed.
I digested and fed.
I savored and swallowed.
The juices ran red.
Now,
his words, they are mine.
They float and they slumber.
They run thru my veins.
They’ve invaded my thoughts.
They live in my brain.
The bicycle image,
goats, angel and snow,
I see in my dreams.
Film moving slow.
So this is my poem:
a tribute of sorts,
an ode to a bicycle
and to some odd
mountain goats.
(...written by "red dirt girl" in august 2006...)
(...taken by me in belek, antalya, at the congress hotel i d been staying at, in november 2006...)

What really makes this interesting is that incredible pattern in the street - not just cobblestones, but more like a jigsaw puzzle. The colour helps to emphasize the pattern, and also provide a nice contrast with the cool, metallic bicycle. Well done!

Marvelous eye for color as these bright patters seen in stunning detail working their way to the beautiful sliver ride that is born to spin. Your poem does justice to this bright scene.

Hi Korkut
The tonalities oranges of the wall and the floor, asi like the geometric and capricious figures, call the attention within the scene. But it is necessary to say, that the bicycle in an ideal position, complement one magnifies composition, asi as his resistance and clearness.

Hi Korkut,
First thanks for your words and the fact that you picked me in your favorites ! A pleasure and i wish to be at the required level in my future posts not to desapoint you !
I have to say too that you are a very skilled photographer, ver y original approach and artisitcall touch. You excell in "finding tremendous composition", you are not a "wide angle landscape" but more zoomed view, in same kind as "marietom" is.
So i pick this one today, but i have a lot of other choices possible, cause it's very appealing and in thumbnail it caught more my eyes :)
Congratulations
... and say hello to athapan :)
