Photographer's Note
Disappointed with the temporary image of Sultan Ahmet Mosque, we went on to the mausoleum of its benefactor.
"Sultan Ahmet I, the Blue Mosque’s great patron, who had ascended to the imperial throne aged 13, died in 1617 aged only 27; his türbe (mausoleum) was constructed between 1617 and 1619 and like the mosque, features fine İznik tiles.
Buried with Ahmet are his wife, Kösem, who was strangled to death in the Topkapı Harem, and his sons, Sultan Osman II (r 1618–22), Sultan Murat IV (r 1623–40) and Prince Beyazıt (murdered by order of Murat [not me, I was not alive back then])." (Gleaned from lonely planet)
"Sultan Ahmed I (b. 1590, Manisa – d. 1617, Istanbul) was the 14th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire (r. 1603-1617). He took the throne at the age of 13 and broke with the Ottoman tradition of fratricide upon his enthronement.
His legacy is the construction of the Blue Mosque, and he enjoyed fencing, horseback riding, and poetry. In fact, he authored a number of works under the name Bakhti. Ahmed I died of typhus at Topkapi Palace. Three of his sons, Osman II, Murad IV, and Ibrahim, ascended to the throne.
Ahmed I is buried next to his wife, Kösem Sultan (1589-1651), also known as Mâh-Peyker Sultan. Originally a Greek named Anastasia and the daughter of a priest from the island of Tinos, Kösem Sultan rose to become one of the most powerful figures in the history of the Ottoman Empire. As the regent of three Sultans, she effectively influenced them to control important affairs. Kösem Sultan is accused of caring more about her own position of power rather than the interests of the Ottoman Empire." Hi Murat,
Nice repetition of the triangle shapes with a wonderful warm cold colour contrast between the blue and gold. Good sharpness and tight framing. Tfs!

Hello Murat,
Both WS show us more clearly the views that meet a visitor, but you chose the graphically most interesting photo as the main upload. You handled the light well in all photos.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Murat,
I am glad that you showed the wider view of the interior; it helped me to understand the details of your main post and appreciate how the triangular shapes and gold encrusted roofs were related.
I rather like this tightly cropped view, which causes us to observe the different elements more closely.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Murat,
A good photo of the mausoleum with lots of golden colours, which stand out really well. The contrast with the deep blue areas is very nice as well.

Hi Murat,
Very rich interior. I like the design of the tombs, they are at certain angle as if they wanted to make the tomb more convenient for the people who are inside.
Interesting rich and colorful composition, and the person with mask adds a sign of the covid times, which I hope are gone now...
