In & Out of Sultan Ahmet, a photo from Istanbul, Marmara

Photographer's Note

Our next stop was Sultan Ahmet Mosque (aka the Blue Mosque). All the signage about the contractors at the entrance (top frame) should have alerted us that there would not be much to see. We came back out the same gate (lower frame).

well made this collage with two photos and the contrast between these opposite views, good light and contrast managment, the photo in the bottom is the most photogenic perspective, tfs.

Hello Murat,
You encountered some problems here. The upper view is nice and sharp but less interesting, partly because of the many large signs. The lower view is very nice but exposure was difficult, or you made some mistake, because the area nearest the gate is rather underexposed and noisy and the colors look blurred.

It shouldn't really be necessary to post every photo from every step you take in order to give a full description of a certain place.

a nice double view of the gate showing diferent directions. I liked a lot the one with the mosque and the blue hues around the gate.

Hi Murat,
so you are saying the the mosque was under construction?
You certainly ended up with a well framed view of the Hagia Sophia here.
The doors make a very welcoming framing even though they lead actually to a different structure.

Hello Murat,
The heavy entrance gate beautifully frames the Hagia Sophia while the many visitors in the foreground create a busy atmosphere.
The colour of the Hagia Sophia and the blue sky sparkle beautifully in this photo taken from a darker room.
