Photographer's Note

Situated north west of Yerevan in Armenia and west of Ani on the Turkish border, is the rural Kurdish village of Kozluca. The sole reason tourists come here is to see the ruins of the old Armenian Bagnair (Bagnayr) Monastery dating from the 10th century AD. There are 4 towns in Turkey with the same name but this is by far the most eastern. Kk Kozluca translates to 'Little Cocoon' in English. The town is shortened to Kozluca.
