Photographer's Note
This one was better in B+W, the only way I could get the reflection of this tomb in the puddle was against the light, which washed out the colors a bit.
This tomb is the best known and biggest of the tombs at Madain Saleh.

Hello Harry,
Interesting view but also well taken and transformed to black and white, with good contrasts.

interesting compo, but The PP isnt perfect IMO. The contrast is treated differently on the top side respect to the bottom side.

Hi Harry,
classic photo, clear, somehow timeless. The perspective is interesting as well, it shows how much of the rock thay had to remove. The light is fine, you achieved a bright and well balanced result.

Hi Harry, another remarkable image of this fascinating place. Reminds me of illustrations in Doughty's book. Another great use of that puddle. Perhaps just a touch of oversharpening visible where the sky meets the rock. Is that a dust spot in the sky, very top, just right of centre? cheers, Steve

Harry,
It's good to see the overimage of the tomb. It give a really impression. From the last post, I imagin it to be a lot bigger, and I know in reality, it is still bigger than the impression I get from this image. As much as I like black and white, I still kind of miss the color. I think the contrast maybe a little strong here, not sure, there seems to be a halo around the tomb. Love the reflection on the puddle. This reminded me when I was a child, I would alway look in the puddle to see the sky and cloud and imagine if I were to jump in the puddle and I could reach the sky and ride in the cloud.

Hi Harry,
what a strange monument, built in the big rock, very imposing.
Good reflection job, and I also think the use of B&W was the best to do here.

I'd never heard of this place, Harry, so thanks for presenting it here. I like the timeless bl/w touch, plus that lovely reflection, of course. The halo effect on the top is a plus, imho, after all...it IS a holy place, isn't it? Good work.

Hello Harry,
The vertical composition of the picture is very good here.
I find the shape of the rock very beautiful and specially because one side of it is the façade of a big tomb.
Best regards, Paul

Bonjour,
belle photo de ce temple et de son superbe reflet dans cette flaque d' eau de grande taille.
Ce NB donne un bel effet et de jolies différences dans les tons de gris; de noire et de blanc.

Hi Harry,
First thanks a lot for your critic, i appreciate it.
I picked up this one even my eyes couldn't really stop admiring your works.
The water reflecion is enjoyable cause it brings more depth and lenght to this monument. The stone structure is also great because it gives to your composition more force, volume. The black and white is a good choice even it would have been a pleasure to see what was the colour result.
Great work :)
Best regards
