SUNSET FROM MY ROOFTOP, a photo from Ar Riyad, East

Photographer's Note

When I was new to this place, my next-door neighbour once warned me not to spill out into the street with camera in hand trying to take pictures of sunset or whatever. I could be arrested for it!
Whenever the urge hits me to shoot a sunset or sunrise now, I quietly sneak up to the roof of my house and "steal" scenes.
This is one of those stolen, hush-hush sunsets! :)

I really like the color intensity of the natural vs the dark coldness of the featureless manmade. Wonderful.

is there some kind of restriction on taking pictures of certain things in saudi?
good vibrant color, silhouette buildings shows the horizon pretty good.

It's a fantastic backlight shot Ram.
the colours are marvelouse and it's well framed and I like the composition, well done.

Wow, that's a frightening thought!! I believe the same thing has happened in the US and is more likely under good ole GWB.

Anyway that is a 5 star sunset: beautiful color, beuatiful clouds. I think you might rotate the horizon to the left a bit.

Hello Ram,
This is a very good shot with the color of sunset. So eyecatching.
The point I do not understand is why it's not allowed to try to take a sunset photo in there which could be the result of arresting. Does this mean that you'll never use your camera there??
Anyway, good work and thanks for sharing...
